Rhinoplasty is known for improving the aesthetics of the face, providing a nose that is more proportionate and harmonious in relation to other facial features. This can increase self-confidence and satisfaction with appearance.

In addition to aesthetic purposes, rhinoplasty can correct structural problems that affect breathing, such as deviated septum, airway obstructions or other irregularities that cause breathing difficulties.

Rhinoplasty is also used to correct deformities caused by trauma or accidents, such as nasal fractures. These procedures can restore respiratory function and the shape of the nose.

Correcting nose imperfections and improving facial appearance can have a significant impact on patients' self-esteem. Rhinoplasty can help people feel more confident and improve their overall quality of life.

There are two techniques used for rhinoplasty: open or closed. In the open technique, a small incision is made at the base of the nose, between the nostrils, and on the inside of each nostril. In the closed technique, there are incisions only inside the nostrils.
Within rhinoplasty surgery there are some modalities that vary according to the needs and objectives of each patient.
Preserving or structured rhinoplasty, primary or secondary.
The first phase of rhinoplasty recovery lasts, on average, 7 to 10 days. Immediately after the procedure, surgeons usually recommend the use of light and discreet aquaplast for 7 to 10 days.
Rarely, nasal plugs are used to prevent bleeding, depending on the surgical technique used.
The return to physical activities depends on each case and the patient’s profession, and can take from 3 to 30 days.
This is one of the main confusions regarding the postoperative period. But the truth is that this type of surgery does not usually cause pain.
Furthermore, the use of painkillers and anti-inflammatories prescribed by your doctor guarantees a smoother and almost painless recovery.
The results of any plastic surgery on the nose can only be seen between 6 months and 1 year.
However, after 30 days, the swelling will have reduced considerably and you will be able to see the changes produced by the surgery.
Keep in mind that it is not possible to predict an exact date for viewing the final result. This is because the postoperative course varies for each patient.
Preoperative tests are: Complete blood count, coagulogram, urine, liver function, urea and ceatinine, blood glucose, chest X-ray, electrocardiogram, skull and chest tomography.
Your doctor will also need to know about the medications you take, whether daily or not, including vitamins and hormones, as some of these must be stopped before surgery.
